Spring SUN classes are underway!
Spring SUN classes began on April 8th! Students are busy enjoying getting their hands dirty in the garden, learning to drum to the beat, and perfecting their ultimate frisbee skills. Some important dates to remember are: * May 23: Summer SUN registration forms go home with students * May 30 (Thursday): Last day of SUN classes * June 24: Summer SUN classes begin The last day of spring classes will be on Thursday, May 30th. Ya estamos en las clases de SUN de la primavera! La ultima sesión de SUN empezo el 8 de abril! Los estudiantes estan aprendiendo mucho en el jardin, como tocar el tambor y aprendiendo como lanzar un disco. Algunas fechas importante para recordar son: * 23 de mayo (jueves): las solicitudes para el verano en SUN van a la casa con estudiantes * 30 de mayo (jueves): el ultimo dia de clases de SUN * 24 de junio: empiezan las clases de SUN del verano El ultimo dia de clases sera el jueves, el 30 de mayo. |

What is a SUN (Schools Uniting Neighborhoods) School? A SUN Community School is not a program, but rather a place and support hub where schools and communities work together to support the success of children and families and provide a comprehensive array of services. They serve as the vehicle to link community institutions, such as libraries, parks, community centers, neighborhood health clinics and area churches and businesses. The SUN Service System leads to educational success and family self-sufficiency through an integrated network of social and support services for youth, families and community members. This nationally recognized system of care works to ensure families are healthy so they can champion and support their children. Bridger SUN is a program run by Impact NW, whose mission is to help people achieve and maintain self-sufficiency and to prevent and alleviate the effects of poverty. We are a unique non-profit human service organization, serving over 60,000 children, families, seniors, and adults with disabilities annually, throughout Multnomah, Clark, Washington and Clackamas Counties.
